Leaving on a jet plane

Plane tickets? Check.
Long-term parking reservation? Check.
Rental car reservation in Nashville? Check.
Plan to purchase fancy sandwiches en route to airport to eat with relish on plane while other passengers glare resentfully at their bags of peanuts and Wheat Thins? Check.

So I guess I'm on my way to Tennessee. Where it is 99 degrees. Hah. Clearly, San Francisco, and its cool climate, has made me weak. I am going to need many, many paletas to survive.

Leaving a cool comfortable climate and heading to a summertime inferno!? That's crazy stuff!

But those popsicles sound wonderful. Wish I had some for our 99 degree heat.

Sounds silly, no? A the thing we do for our families.

Have fun! I'm so jealous you're going to meet my nephew before I do!

Yee-haw, girl! Have some scrumptious barbecue for me while you're there. In fact, we're making up some pulled pork this weekend for my Kentuckian husband's birthday fĂȘte. We'll be culinarily linked across the miles.

ooh! Have fun, can't wait to hear about the anniversary dinner!

Sigh, sigh, we ended up skipping our planned anniversary dinner. We were so pooped from running and doing and seeing and visiting, when we thought about what we really wanted to do, just for us, it was lay around and eat takeout.
